Wrench.ai — Creative Progress, MCP Integration Hub & Smarter AI Agents

Creative Progress Indicators, MCP Integration Hub & Smarter AI Agents

TL;DR: Three meaningful upgrades shipped to production on April 23–24, 2026. You’ll now see a real progress bar when generating AI creatives, a brand-new MCP & API integration hub makes it easy to plug Wrench into Claude, n8n, and other tools, and your AI agents can now answer Wrench support questions directly in chat — no tab-switching required.

Creative Generation Progress Bar

Generating an AI creative used to feel like dropping a request into a black box — no feedback, no indication of how far along the system was, just waiting. That’s fixed.

When you submit a generation request, the input bar is replaced by an animated progress indicator that walks through eight labelled stages — from “Starting your request” through to “Done.” The new creative holds off appearing in your gallery until both the image and its summary are fully ready, so every card that shows up is complete and immediately usable.

The result: you always know something is happening, and you’re not surprised by half-loaded cards or stale results.

Smarter Creative Gallery Sorting

Previously, sorting your generated creatives gallery only applied to whichever page was currently loaded — scroll to the next page and the sort logic didn’t carry over. Sorting now works server-side and applies across your entire library. Options include newest, oldest, best performance, and worst performance.

The practical difference: when you sort by best performance, you’re actually seeing your highest-scoring creatives at the top — not just the best ones from a partial dataset.

MCP & API Integration Hub

Connecting Wrench to external tools — Claude.ai, Claude Code CLI, n8n, or any MCP-compatible assistant — previously required reading through separate documentation and manually assembling connection strings. There’s now a dedicated MCP / API page in the sidebar (under Agents) that puts everything in one place.

The page is organized into four sections:

  • API Key — Generate or regenerate your key with a confirmation step to protect existing integrations.
  • MCP Integration — Plain-language explanation of what MCP is, plus a live browser that fetches the full list of available Wrench tools (107 tools, sorted A–Z) directly from the API.
  • Connect to a Service — Step-by-step instructions for Claude.ai web, Claude Code CLI, n8n, and other compatible tools, with your API key pre-filled in every code snippet.
  • Further Reading — Guides and documentation links.

Both authentication approaches are shown where supported — the recommended header method and the query parameter approach — so you can connect the way each tool requires.

AI Agents Can Now Answer Wrench Support Questions

When you ask a Wrench AI agent how to set up MCP, how to connect HubSpot, or how billing works, it can now look up the answer directly from the Wrench knowledge base and surface the full article content inline — without you leaving the platform or opening a separate help tab.

This is powered by four new endpoints backed by the Wrench FAQ database, all accessible to the agent tool registry. Responses are cached so repeated queries don’t cause delays. Previously, agents in this situation would deflect or generate approximate answers; now they return authoritative content from Wrench’s own support library.

Reliability: Deterministic API Key Authentication

Users who belong to multiple organizations could previously get inconsistent authentication results on the same API key, depending on how the database resolved the query. Identity resolution has been rewritten to be deterministic — the same key now always maps to the same user, regardless of how many organizations that user belongs to.

What This Means for You

Marketing Teams

Creative generation is now a visible, trackable process rather than a silent wait. Your gallery sorting works the way you’d expect it to — globally, across your entire creative library. Finding your top performers is faster and more reliable.

Sales & Growth Teams

Your AI agents are now equipped to answer product and onboarding questions in the flow of a conversation. Less time lost switching to help docs mid-demo or mid-workflow.

Leadership & Operations

The MCP integration hub lowers the barrier for connecting Wrench to the AI tools your team already uses. Wrench is now more pluggable — not just as a standalone platform, but as a data and intelligence layer inside broader AI workflows.

Questions? Your AI agent now has answers — just ask it in the chat.
