Wrench.ai Platform Update — May 6–7, 2026

TL;DR: Billing now works correctly for all account types, removing a team member no longer locks your workspace, contact photos are back, and your dashboard gets a round of UX polish including clearer billing labels, background job notifications, and a security fix that prevented financial data from being exposed to non-owner users.

What’s New

Billing & Account Management

The billing portal now opens reliably for all accounts — a race condition that could occur when a new workspace was first created has been resolved, and multi-item subscription edge cases are handled correctly. The billing page now displays dollar values labeled in USD instead of “Credits,” so there’s no ambiguity about what you’re looking at. The full credits breakdown — granted, used, and expired — is also now returned correctly for reporting purposes.

A security fix ensures that financial data is only visible to workspace owners. Non-owner users who previously could see financial information due to an incorrect default will no longer have that access.

Team Management

Removing a team member from your workspace previously locked the workspace in some cases. That’s fixed — the restriction now only applies correctly when attempting to remove the last remaining user.

Onboarding & Contacts

The onboarding completion flag now clears correctly across all user rows (scoped by WorkOS user ID), so returning users won’t be incorrectly re-shown onboarding flows. Contact photos now render throughout the platform. New platform capabilities for contacts include lead scoring, deduplication merging, and record deletion — all accessible via the API.

Background Jobs & Notifications

When long-running background jobs complete, the platform now surfaces a status notification in the UI so you know when processing is done without having to refresh or check manually.

Chrome Extension (Plugin)

The Chrome extension side panel now runs on dedicated /plugin/* routes with its own layout, keeping the extension experience clean and separate from the main application. This is the foundation for upcoming plugin-specific features.

Dark Mode & Visual Polish

A dark mode audit pass updated semantic color tokens across the dashboard — charts, tables, and navigation elements now render correctly in both light and dark themes. Six additional UI and crash fixes from a QA pass round out the visual improvements.

Workspace Switching Fix

A hotfix restores correct workspace switching behavior for users with multiple workspaces — if you were experiencing issues jumping between accounts, this resolves it.

What This Means for You

Marketing Teams

Billing clarity (USD labels, full breakdown) makes it easier to track and report on platform spend. Contact photo rendering and improved contact management capabilities mean your CRM data looks and works better across the platform.

Sales Teams

Team member management is now reliable — add and remove users from workspaces without risk of locking your account. Background job notifications keep you informed when enrichment or processing tasks complete.

Leadership & Admins

The financial data security fix and correct billing portal behavior across all account types are important for governance. Workspace switching works correctly for users managing multiple client accounts.

This release also lays groundwork for expanded AI Agent capabilities and improvements to the Analytics Agent.
