Wrench.ai Platform Update — May 2026: Chat Image Intelligence, Agent ROI Fixes & Upload Reliability

TL;DR: This update delivers a meaningful upgrade to how Wrench.ai understands images in chat, restores smooth animated chat responses, fixes Agent ROI dashboard data loading, resolves file upload errors across two flows, and improves dark mode legibility throughout the platform.

What Shipped

Chat Now Acknowledges Uploaded Images

When you upload an image in the Wrench chat, the AI now surfaces a natural-language description of what it sees — including visible text, themes, and key elements — and responds to your image in context. Previously, images were silently processed with no visible confirmation. Now you get a genuine, context-aware acknowledgment the moment your image is read.

Smooth Chat Rendering Restored

AI responses animate character-by-character again, as they should. A recent update had inadvertently replaced the smooth streaming renderer with whole-chunk updates, causing responses to jump in abruptly instead of flowing naturally. This is restored. Users with reduced-motion preferences enabled in their OS settings will continue to receive instant rendering without animation, in line with accessibility standards.

Agent ROI Dashboard: Correct Date Range & Accurate Loading

The Agent ROI dashboard date picker now seeds from your workspace’s actual data range rather than a fixed default window. If your team’s AI usage data extends beyond the prior 90-day default, the dashboard will now surface it. A separate fix ensures the dashboard loads correctly across all workspace contexts — resolving cases where charts appeared empty when data was present.

File Attachments & Creative Uploads Now Reliable

Two upload flows that had been returning errors are resolved:

  • Chat file attachments — Files shared in chat now upload successfully without errors.
  • Creative uploads via modal — Images submitted through the creative upload modal no longer fail with a 400 error.

Both flows are verified end-to-end in production.

Dark Mode Legibility Improvements

Several areas that were difficult to read in dark mode have been corrected:

  • Charts — bar, donut, funnel, and horizontal bar — now render with correct borders and contrast in dark mode
  • Chat markdown tables display correctly in dark mode
  • The billing page is now fully legible in dark mode
  • Feedback modal checkboxes are now visible in dark mode

Billing Page Accuracy

Credit packs on the billing page now display in the correct ascending order, and the currency symbol reflects the account’s actual currency rather than defaulting to USD. These were display-only issues; no charges were affected.

Reliability Improvements

A set of targeted fixes addressed intermittent errors across checkout flows, session handling, and platform connectivity. These changes reduce edge cases that some users may have encountered and make the overall platform more consistent under varied conditions.

What This Means for You

For Marketing Teams

Creative uploads via the modal are working again — no more errors when submitting images for Serendipity AI Creative scoring. Dark mode improvements make extended work sessions easier on the eyes across charts and the billing page.

For Sales Teams

The Agent ROI dashboard now shows the complete picture of your team’s AI usage with an accurate date range scoped to your workspace. If you were seeing an empty dashboard or a truncated timeline, that’s resolved. Chat file attachments also work reliably, so sharing documents and context in AI conversations is no longer blocked.

For Leadership

Agent ROI reporting now accurately reflects activity across all workspace contexts. The data informing your team’s AI adoption metrics loads correctly and covers the full available history. Billing displays are accurate for all supported currencies.
